Mark your calendars! The New England Council’s 2025 Washington Leaders’ Conference will take place in our nation’s capital on Wednesday, May 14, and Thursday, May 15, 2025. Join us for two days of meetings, briefings, and informative guest speakers including members of Congress, key Congressional staff, federal agency officials, and national political reporters.

Hotel Room Blocks
**Please note that our conference coincides with National Police Week in Washington, D.C., and hotel rooms will be in high demand.**
If you are planning to participate in the Washington Leaders’ Conference, we encourage you to make hotel reservations as soon as possible. The Council has arranged blocks of hotel rooms at several hotels in Washington, D.C., but conference participants are welcome to stay at any hotel you choose. If you do choose to take advantage of the room blocks that the Council has arranged, please note that there are early April deadlines to book these hotels at the discounted rates.
Over 250 Attend 2024 Washington Leaders’ Conference
Over 250 New England Council members from throughout the region gathered in Washington, DC, on May 15 & 16 for The New England Council’s 2024 Washington Leaders’ Conference. The conference kicked off on Wednesday, May 15, with a Welcome Luncheon at the historic Willard Intercontinental Hotel, where guests heard from a panel of leading political journalists who discussed the current political climate and upcoming Presidential, Senate, and House elections. Following the luncheon, members had the opportunity to participate in a variety of policy committee meetings with Congressional staff. The day ended with a Capitol Hill Reception attended by many members of the region’s Congressional delegation and their staffs. Day two featured a Congressional Breakfast where members heard from six members of Congress, followed by additional committee meetings with key federal agency officials.
